PLAN FOR THE DAY :

On leaving your hotel your adventure to the Great South of New Caledonia will begin.

You will ride on old forest tracks of red rock, across the mining maquis (a shrub dominated area, underlain by rock that was mined for metal) and you will benefit from numerous viewpoints of Yate lake and the Valleys of the White and Blue Rivers.
You will walk across the historic Perignon bridge, then you will take another vehicle to the exceptional Blue River valley, where driving your own vehicle is not permitted to visitors. Only hikers and cyclists have access to it.
Admire the famous viewpoint of the Drowned Forest, then enter into a dense sub-tropical rainforest, unique in the world.

Walk on a short, accessible path, in search of the iconic, endemic, flightless bird: the cagou.

Ride on the right bank of the Blue River at the heart of lush, prehistoric vegetation, in order to observe interesting plants, animals and geological formations.

Enjoy a tasty picnic “ whilst bathing your feet”  on the edge of one of the most beautiful swimming spots and profit from a moment of relaxation, by having a swim in the crystal, clear water.
After your lunch, you will continue the route to the Great Kaori, walking on a short path, specially designed to be able to admire this 1000 year old, prehistoric conifer.

After having spent the day being able to connect with nature in a sub-tropical area of international significance, you will take the same route, back to Noumea.
